Eric Sarver is an innovative employment law and business law attorney. For more than 25 years, Eric has successfully advanced business owners’ / employers’ interests by defending them from complex employment litigation under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the PDA, EPA, the FLSA, and related federal, state, and municipal labor and employment laws – whether in mediation, arbitration, or in federal or state courts. Eric’s previous work on the employee-side gives him a unique perspective when helping companies with employment law compliance, defense from lawsuits, and representation during NYS Department of Labor audits, hearings, and investigations. Eric also focuses on compliance — helping employers to follow and implement the ever-changing federal and state labor and employment law requirements, thereby reducing their likelihood of incurring fines, penalties, or individual lawsuits.

Eric uses his wealth of legal experience to guide companies through compliance in the complex maze of ever-changing labor and employment laws, and in drafting Employee Handbooks, Employment Agreements, and onboarding documents, thus reducing your company’s risk of liability, penalties, and negative press or exposure.

Eric is frequently asked to share his knowledge on employment law issues, including employee and employer rights, sexual harassment, and First Amendment issues facing public employees. Over the years, Eric has provided interviews, seminars, and workshops, and has been a guest panelist at several prominent events, including the International Franchise Expo – a global, annual franchise conference – as well as the New York State Society of CPAs Convention and The HR Roundtable Forum of 2022. Eric has also conducted Continuing Legal Education (CLE) training for other attorneys regarding diversity and inclusion within the workplace. As a seasoned employment law attorney, Eric has been frequently sought out by TV shows, podcasts, talk radio stations, and by reporters for quotes or interviews, on in-the-news, cutting edge employment law issues.

Eric graduated cum laude from Binghamton University in 1995 and earned his J.D. at Hofstra University Law School in 1998, where he was a Dean’s List scholar and earned the Leon Stern Academic Award.
