Eric A. Friedman

Eric A. Friedman is a Partner with Einbinder, Dunn, Dimitri & Bayer LLP, helping franchise operators and business owners nationwide grow, acquire, and finance their businesses while navigating complex legal, corporate, and real estate transactions.

With extensive experience structuring and negotiating multi-unit and multi-brand franchise deals, Eric helps clients navigate every stage of complex transactions — from deal structuring and due diligence to financing, closing, and post-closing integration. His clients include both first-time franchise buyers and established operators looking to grow through acquisition and expansion.

Beyond his franchise work, Eric advises non-franchise business owners on mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation and reorganization, financing, and real estate matters. Drawing on his dual background in taxation and accounting, he provides strategic guidance to help clients structure deals efficiently, preserve wealth, and plan for long-term succession.

Eric earned his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law and his LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law. He also holds a B.S. and M.S. in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Before joining Einbinder, Eric gained valuable experience working at law firms specializing in transactional, trust, and estate matters, where he developed expertise in complex business and estate planning transactions. He also completed a judicial clerkship with the Tax Court of New Jersey.
